When We Last Saw Our Hero’s Career…
I explain how I got so good at copywriting.
Right now I’m a copywriter at Rescue Agency. We specialize in behavior change, and do most of our work in the public health sector. I do stuff like try to convince teens not to vape. Which is tough because the teens love vaping! The other big challenge has been phasing “u” out of my spelling.
Notable clients include the FDA, the CDC, the California Department of Public Health, the Virginia Department of Health, the Vermont Department of Health, and the New Mexico Department of Health.
Here’s me about to run a 5k with some lovely Rescue Agency colleagues.
Before Rescue, I worked as the sole copywriter in Konrad Group’s creative department. Konrad Group is a digital innovation agency (which is a fancy way of saying they make custom tech). I worked on branding their products, helped ensure the language in their apps flowed well, and created promotional materials to explain and promote the products they made.
Notable brands I worked on include PayPal, Kijiji, Symcor, EllisDon, Appboy, Steeped Tea and The Travel Corporation.
Konrad Group operates in partnership with BrainStation, a tech bootcamp. While I was at Konrad Group I also developed promotional and educational materials for BrainStation, including putting together their UX/UI course textbook.
Striking a pose with the talented crew at BrainStation.
I got my start at Rooftop Agency, where I worked as their social media intern. I worked as a community manager on several of their brands, most notably Jägermeister Canada.
A lifetime ago! Thank you to Rooftop for giving me my first break. ❤️
